Eric Chernik

CEO of Building Controls & Solutions

Eric Chernik is the CEO for Building Controls & Solutions, a commercial HVAC controls distributor and portfolio company of Luther King Capital Management. He leads a dynamic team that covers the United States helping commercial businesses create efficiencies, comfort, safety and security for their campuses and buildings. He has spent the past 20+ years working across a number of B2B distribution companies including Grainger, Lennox, FleetPride and AAR Corp. Eric has honed his general management career with stints in Branch Operations, Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Human Resources and Market Expansion.  

Eric’s company has grown 8X in the past three years, as he is focused both on organic growth and acquisitive growth. During this time, the company has acquired six other companies that have been integrated with the platform company. Because of his human resources background, Eric prides himself on keeping an entrepreneurial culture and retaining people (attrition is less than 4% since the beginning of their acquisitions and integrations). 

Eric graduated with a Bachelor’s in Economics & Sociology and Master’s in Organizational Behavior from Stanford University, as well as an MBA from the University of Chicago - Booth School of Business.
